Freelance Festival & Events Producer

Spitalfields Music £180/ day Closing date 09 September 2020
We are seeking a highly experienced Freelance Festival & Events Producer to lead on the planning and delivery of the 2021 Festival, plus other live events during 2021.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, and working closely with the Artistic Curators, the Festival & Events Producer will lead on all aspects of programming and production for the Spitalfields Music 2021 Festival, contributing to the audience development strategy and maintaining national and local partnerships to deliver the best possible Festival. The role will engage and manage artists and ensembles, negotiating contracts, developing and managing budgets, and lead on scheduling, production and evaluation of the Festival. We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual who is adept at nurturing relationships and finding innovative solutions.

This role is a flexible freelance role with concentrated periods of programming and delivery, and lighter periods at other times in the year. The role will require some evening and weekend work, and the Festival & Events Producer will need to be available full-time in the run-up to and during the Festival period. There will be a desk available in Spitalfields Music’s office, but home working is possible much of the time while in planning mode.

As part of our commitment to the East End, and to developing new generations of arts professionals, we are particularly keen to receive applications from people who have trained or currently live in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
