Manager - International Touring
Intermusica Artist's Management Ltd £35,000-£40,000 Closing date 09 December 2024
Intermusica is seeking a resilient, resourceful, and detail-oriented manager to work in our renowned International Touring team.
For nearly 40 years, Intermusica has toured the world's greatest orchestras and artists, with a strong history of delivering exceptional creative projects on five continents. Building on your previous experience, you will work with our global network of partners, at the forefront of this fast-changing area of the music industry, delving into new markets and delivering bespoke tours and residencies for our clients internationally.
As a member of this fast-paced department, you will work on the following:
TOUR PREPARATION & DELIVERY:
Researching and booking hotel and travel arrangements (up to a year in advance) for groups of varied sizes.
Processing visa and work permits.
Finalising concert programmes.
Formulating rehearsal and travel schedules.
Working on future projects simultaneously, often whilst being abroad on tour.
Liaising with partners across different time zones.
Closely liaising with orchestra and artist managements regarding tour arrangements.
On-the-ground presence, often as the sole representative of the company, to ensure effective delivery of tours.
CONTRACTS & FINANCE
Producing financial paperwork (including budgets, invoices, statements & financial summaries)
Assisting in the drafting and issuing of project contracts and negotiating clauses.
Working with the finance department to ensure prompt payments to the company.
Applying for UK withholding tax and international tax exemptions, as required.
Negotiating accommodation contracts and seeking quotes for logistic arrangements.
MARKETING & PR
Collating publicity materials from orchestras for promoters.
Collaborating with Intermusica's Communications & Marketing office to write website news stories and maintain the International Touring presence on the Intermusica website.
Taking tour photos and videos for use on social media and the website.
Liaising with the Communications & Marketing team on further publicity options.
GENERAL
Representing Intermusica at concerts and industry events, the role will require the ability to work flexible hours and to travel throughout the UK and abroad, as required.
Working closely with all members of the department and handling administrative matters including filing, copying, archiving, etc.
Representing the department within the company, liaising with colleagues in other departments and taking part in company-wide initiatives and taskforces.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to manage and prioritise a large number of varied tasks with multiple deadlines.
Experience of scheduling and organising extensive travel and accommodation arrangements
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Be quick, efficient and able to work under pressure.
Ability to use initiative and be proactive.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent IT skills.
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Experience in a relevant and related area of the classical music business and/or in an event management environment.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Formal project management training / qualification.
A knowledge of and active interest in classical music.
Working knowledge of an additional modern language

When not on tour, this role will be primarily based at Intermusica's London Headquarters, working on a hybrid basis with a requirement for two days per week in the office.
