Our mission is to reach out and move people with great ballet and music. We will tour world-class classical ballet to the widest possible audience in the UK and internationally; create new works that reflect the world we live in; and release the creative potential in people of all ages and backgrounds. Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB), directed by Carlos Acosta, is one of the world’s greatest touring classical ballet companies. We have a history of live orchestral music of the highest standard and are proud of our permanent orchestra, The Royal Ballet Sinfonia which plays for the company’s extensive national tours. The orchestra is also employed regularly to play for the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House, and is engaged by other international ballet companies when they tour to the UK. In 2023 the Royal Ballet Sinfonia played year round for Birmingham Royal Ballet, from Swan Lake to Black Sabbath – The Ballet, from Stravinsky’s Apollo to Still Life at the Penguin Café, and they also played for Australian Ballet at the Royal Opera House and for the Nureyev Legacy Gala in Dubai. http://www.brb.org.uk/
