On 21st May 2024, the Association of British Orchestras, along with its over 200 members, launches a bold three-year-long nationwide public engagement campaign to celebrate the power and value of classical music and the UK’s orchestras. Join us in celebrating the Power of Connection of classical music and the joy that it brings to our everyday lives.
How you can support the campaign:
We want to encourage everyone to show their love of classical music and support for UK orchestras by sharing a piece of classical music on social media that has moved them and what the music has meant to them in their life.
People across the country turn to classical music in so many different settings, not only for pure enjoyment, but for reflection, mindfulness and to feel a powerful sense of connection – whether that’s a highly personal sense of emotion, or to share life’s special moments with those around them. Everyone has their favourite music that transports them to a landmark moment in their life. We want to start a conversation open to everyone to introduce one another to the music that moves them.
Share the music that moves you in a short video, written quote or image on social media, using the hashtag #MusicThatMovesYou and tagging @aborchestras.
