Member Networking Events
Member Networking Events are one of the ABO's key services that are most valued by members. Groups of managers meet up to twice a year to discuss topical issues and hear from relevant speakers.
The ABO connects members to other members and the wider industry through networking opportunities, keeping our members well-informed and up-to-date with best practice to help build resilience and financial sustainability.
Our primary networking event is the annual conference, the major gathering of the classical music industry in the UK, with around 350 delegates drawn from orchestras, opera and ballet companies both from within the UK and abroad, as well as funding agencies, broadcasters, venues, festivals, artist managers, publishers and suppliers. We also hold regular Specialist Managers Meetings.
The ABO connects its members to the wider music industry, third sector networks and music education bodies, both nationally and internationally, ensuring that the UK’s orchestral sector is represented at the very highest level.
