Sinfonia Viva is the Orchestra of the East Midlands, based in Derby. They are the only professional orchestra in the region, bringing high-quality musical experiences to Derby and other communities.

The orchestra makes live classical music accessible to many people. They perform concerts at Derby Cathedral, the Music of Making and other venues around the East Midlands, including Nottingham Royal Concert Hall.

They also collaborate with schools, the NHS and other local partners on creative projects. These are collaborative processes with a diverse range of people, bringing together and valuing their ideas and learning from the breadth of their participants’ lived experiences.
