Accreditation Freelance Pool, BBC Proms
BBC PAYE Closing date 26 April 2023
Would you like to be part of a pool of Freelance Accreditation Team members to work with our teams supporting the running of the BBC Proms from July to September?
Appointment to the Talent Pool does not guarantee work and it will not entitle candidates to a permanent contract in the BBC; those will have to be applied for in the normal way. However, it may lead to consideration for broader freelance opportunities across the BBC Proms.
We will provide any additional skills as required to enable you to work effectively in our teams and to widen your knowledge of our systems. This could include production specific programmes, e.g. Smartsheets.
We want BBC Proms’ output to reflect and understand the audiences we serve – e.g. the different geographical regions of the UK and the experience of people from underrepresented groups (e.g. people from Black, Asian or minority ethnic backgrounds, people with lived experience of disability, individuals within the LGBTQ+ community and those from lower socio-economic groups). We are therefore actively seeking individuals with skills or experience that can help contribute towards ensuring we maximise the diversity of our coverage and content.
All opportunities offered, as a result of appointment to this Talent Pool, will be on a Freelance PAYE basis. Rates of pay will be discussed separately.
You will generally be based at the Royal Albert Hall but there may be some days required at a London BBC venue e.g. Old Broadcasting House for training etc.
