KD SCHMID is one of the world’s leading music management companies, with offices in Hannover, London and Berlin. We specialise in bespoke strategic artist management and arranging international tours and projects. Established in 1959, we pride ourselves on our heritage and family-orientated team culture that we have maintained throughout our long history and across all 3 offices. We also pride ourselves on the strong working partnership held with Konzertdirektion Goette (Hamburg), under the umbrella of Deutsche Klassik, with the aim of extending our core expertise in promotion, tour management and artist management.
We have a distinct international in-house style with a reputation for building longstanding relationships with artists, orchestras, promoters and venues.

The London office was established in 1998 by the current Managing Director, Karen McDonald, and now comprises a team of 16. Based in the heart of London’s Covent Garden, the London office exclusively focuses on artist management, with a bespoke list of general and local management artists.
As we transition out of the COVID-19 pandemic, KD SCHMID is looking to appoint an Artist Manager with proven experience. We are seeking a candidate that can match our ambitions and play a crucial role with the team as we drive our business forward.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

 Be the driving force in managing and developing their own roster of artists.
 Secure engagements aligned with a strategic long-term career plan.
 Lead on driving sales and revenue for the company and fostering a collaborative relationship of trust with all KD SCHMID artists, colleagues and industry contacts.
 Work closely with colleagues and departments from our Hannover and Berlin office.
 Pursue, negotiate and manage engagements, tours, media contracts and music director contracts.
 Liaise with promoters and artists on programmes and PR plans to raise profile of the artist and performances.
 Oversee the artists’ schedules and drive and manage the artist team.
 Consult and guide fellow artist managers and mentor associate managers and artist coordinators.
 Undertake national and international travel to concerts, conferences and business meetings as appropriate.
 Act as an ambassador for KD SCHMID.

Essential Competencies include:
 Proven artist management experience.
 Empathetic, motivated and personally engaging with a proactive, detail- and solution-orientated mindset.
 Highly organised, efficient, with outstanding communication skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.
 Team player with a sensitivity towards artists’ artistic and commercial needs.
 Readiness to become a key player within an international artist management team working from three different offices, and to foster cross-pollination of ideas and fruitful exchange across all three.
