Artistic Planning and External Hire Services Coordinator

Hybrid work: 80% attendance onsite required including Sunday event management. Time off in lieu will be given for weekend or evening working.

The Royal Academy of Music is one of the world’s leading conservatoires. The Academy has one of the fullest and varied performance programmes of any conservatoire with events ranging from individual performance to full symphony orchestra, jazz, opera and musical theatre. The Concerts Department is at the heart of all programming and performance activity and the hire services for our spaces and student musicians.
The Academy seeks to appoint an Artistic Planning and External Hire Services Coordinator to support the Director of Artistic Planning in daily administration of performance programming and work with the Performance Venues Manager and the External Bookings Manager to manage and expand the Academy’s external hire services for venues and musicians. The successful candidate will join a highly creative team in a dynamic working environment. The role engages with a broad range of colleagues and external stakeholders including visiting artists, promoters and student performers in the early stages of their careers.
We seek a music graduate with a strong knowledge of classical music who is commercially engaged and thrives on developing and improving processes. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage a large and varied workload. Prioritising, working to deadlines and problem solving are essential skills. You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to deal with challenging situations. Flexibility is required to manage concerts and events in the evening and weekends. Time off in lieu will be given.
