Assistant Conductor
Royal Scottish National Orchestra To be discussed Closing date 14 May 2023
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra seeks to appoint a talented conductor for a two-year contract, commencing in Autumn 2023. The successful candidate will be capable of rehearsing concerts to a high standard with limited rehearsal time, will be committed to engaging with audiences and the public, and will maintain his or her principal place of residence in Scotland.
Previous RSNO Assistant Conductors include current incumbent Kellen Gray; Garry Walker, who later became RSNO Principal Guest Conductor 2003-2007 and currently Music Director of Opera North; David Danzmayr, Music Director of the Oregon Symphony and Music Director of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and Jean-Claude Picard, former Chief Conductor of Scottish Ballet.
