The Royal College of Music Museum is seeking to appoint an Assistant Conservator with experience in handling and maintenance of musical instruments, painting, works on paper and sculptures to support the care and maintenance of its collections.

In this role
• You will maintain the objects on display undertaking regular maintenance and dusting.
• You will undertake periodical collection checks and advise on required actions to improve the preservation of the Museum collections.
• You will regularly monitor the humidity and temperature values in the Museum spaces and Wolfson Centre and produce termly reports.
• You will assist in the handling and care of the collections in storage.
• You will be in direct contact with external specialist conservators, suppliers and companies to support the delivery of conservation projects
This post is offered on a permanent, part-time, basis and is available immediately.
