Assistant Librarian

The Assistant Librarian will join the busy and friendly Concerts team which manages the day-to-day running of the Hallé Orchestra. The role supports the Hallé’s work at The Bridgewater Hall, our venues in Ancoats, and other concert halls across the UK and internationally.
The Assistant Librarian is responsible to the Librarian for assisting in the preparation of written and other materials for Hallé performances and events. This involves cataloguing the Library and preparation, maintenance and provision of music used by the Orchestra for practice, auditions and performance. The post-holder will have strong operating links to the Orchestra Manager, Leaders and Section Leaders.
The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday, with the option to work some hours from home.
