The Assistant Librarian plays an important role in assisting the efficient running of the BSO’s music library and the sourcing, preparation and distribution of all orchestral parts and scores required for the exciting and varied work of the busy Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. The Assistant Librarian reports to the Librarian and is a member of the busy Concerts team.

The Library is a key source of information, and keeps records of repertoire, forces, edition, publisher, duration etc in OPAS, the company’s library and scheduling software. The Assistant Librarian is required to have relevant experience in classical music and the ability to read conventionally notated music.

The next ABO conference will take place in Gateshead,
hosted by The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, from 5-7 February 2025.
