The Royal College of Music is seeking to engage a Composition assistant professor, who is a specialist in composition for screen. We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
• You should be a widely recognised and highly respected practitioner, either as a screen composer or a teacher of screen composition, at the highest level
• You will be teaching to an exceptionally high level of technical and musical proficiency using appropriate technologies, to students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, so relevant teaching experience at these levels is required.
• You should have a global perspective on the world of screen composition today
• You should understand the particular demands of the composition for screen community whilst striving to help each student reach the fullness of their own potential.
This post is offered on a part-time, hourly-paid basis and is available from 1 September 2023
