The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 100 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues around the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio, TV and online. We are a creative, innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe.
We’re looking for an Assistant Publicist to join the Communications Team for the BBC Proms. Your role contributes to delivering a wide-reaching proactive press campaign across all media platforms with a particular focus on reaching new, diverse audiences, and handling digital press and influencers. We are a small team that works very closely with the Marketing, Learning and Live Events teams at the Proms, and there are opportunities to grow your skills in all these areas.

We are looking for someone who can work and communicate collaboratively with a wide range of people, bring a creative, imaginative and innovative approach to reaching audiences through live and digital platforms, show their commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for people of all backgrounds to participate in arts and culture, show an enthusiasm for music and live events and find innovative ways of increasing media coverage for the BBC Proms
