To help the SCO achieve its aims of expanding its digital output and reconnecting with audiences across Scotland, and to support the Orchestra in its mission to be universally recognised as a dynamic and inspirational chamber orchestra, they are looking for two new Trustees to broaden and strengthen the skills and experience of its existing board.
Trustees of the SCO will play an important role in the strategic direction of the charity, and will provide support, guidance and constructive challenge to the Board and the SCO’s senior management team. The Trustees will carry out the legal responsibilities of being a charity Trustee and company Director, and will ensure that the SCO operates in line with governance best practice and its charitable objectives.
The new Trustees will also act as ambassadors for the SCO, and will actively support the organisation’s fundraising activities, including leveraging their networks in support of the SCO. Furthermore, they will support the SCO’s strong commitment to embracing diversity and inclusion and contribute to the ongoing development of the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance agenda.
