The BSO champions the role of culture in people’s lives, and aims to challenge barriers to high-quality music for all. Beyond the concert hall, the BSO’s mission is to inspire musical ambitions, creativity and enjoyment of people all across the South West. With programmes which reached over 50,000 people of all ages last year alone, BSO Participate work with young learners in schools, families and adult communities to enhance learning and creativity, connect people and communities, and improve health and wellbeing through music.

The BSO are looking for a highly organised coordinator with excellent communication skills to coordinate our well established and highly rated schools concert series this autumn. This includes our KS2 ‘Explore the Orchestra’ concerts which inspires music and creativity through awe-inspiring symphonic orchestral concerts, workshops in Primary schools and teacher training; plus concerts which support GCSE and A-Level students to understand and analyse music curriculum set works through engaging live events which provide a vital resource for teachers and supports learning.

hosted by The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, from 5-7 February 2025.
