Casual Technician

City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra £12.50 per hour Closing date 14 February 2022
The CBSO is seeking to increase its pool of casual Technicians, who carry out a range of duties.

Successful candidates will be involved in a variety of activity including working on live performances, rehearsals, recordings, events and conferences. They will also help contribute to the maintenance of CBSO Centre systems and equipment, back and front of house.

Essential skills:
- Good all-round knowledge of event lighting, sound and streaming.
- Good working knowledge of H&S practices for both a place of public entertainment and working offices.
- Experience of working with Yamaha M7CL digital sound desk
- Experience of working with Avolites Tiger Touch II lighting desk and Avo Titan Suite
- Experience in capturing/streaming and recording video and live events
- Competent and comfortable with Working at Height.
- Show constant commitment, enthusiasm and excellent attitude at all times.
- An outgoing personality and good interpersonal skills.
- A team player with the ability to work effectively within a small team.

Desirable skills:
- An interest in music
- A relevant and up to date First Aid qualification.
- Manual Handling training certificate
