Our 900 undergraduate and postgraduate students come from over 50 countries and are taught in a dynamic environment, leaving the RCM to become the outstanding performers, conductors and composers of the future.
The Performance and Programming department which has responsibility for planning and organising all concerts at the College is now looking to recruit a Chamber Music Assistant. The successful applicant will be joining a friendly, creative and approachable team in an exciting working environment, and will work closely with the Chamber Music Manager and students at the College. Chamber Music is an integral part of college life and students perform both internally at the College and externally at venues including Cadogan Hall and Wigmore Hall.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience of arts administration and we are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will thrive in the busy atmosphere of the Performance & Programming team. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, interacting regularly with students and professors, overseeing payments and coaching for all chamber music. The Chamber Music Assistant will have a meticulous eye for detail, and a flair for writing about music in a concise and engaging way. The candidate will also be interested in gaining professional stage management experience. The postholder will handle a variety of requests on a daily basis and will be able to efficiently prioritise a varied workload.
This post is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is available from 15 August 2022
