Sage Gateshead is an international music centre with two auditoriums and a rehearsal space all with world class acoustics, a 25 room Music Education Centre, bars, restaurant, café, shop and public space creating a ‘town square’ for anyone to enjoy for free. We are for audiences, for artists, for the North and for the long-term. Everything we do is guided by our values: Creative, Diverse, Focused, Leading, Responsible.

The post holder will work with the Head of Classical Marketing to develop and maintain the strategic approach to the marketing of the classical programme. Within this, the post holder will be responsible for the contribution to a successful rolling programme of sales, marketing and communications campaigns, and will be required to support senior colleagues to manage and monitor their efficacy. The purpose of these campaigns will be to increase awareness of, and demand for, a broad spectrum of single and thematic performances, as well as other initiatives that fall within the classical remit. Success will be measured using a range of indicators, including sales, target market penetration and overall brand sentiment as a result of activity.

The post holder will also work with other departmental team members to ensure that marketing communications activity across the organisation is as joined up as it can be, and opportunities for cross and up selling are not missed.
