It is the main broadcast partner of the BBC Proms and of the BBC Orchestras and Choirs.

Radio 3 is actively committed to BBC’s ongoing policy of Diversity and Inclusion across all aspects of the station. This embraces the internal culture, the broadcast content, our workforce and our relationship with audiences.

We wish to appoint someone for two days per week to a role with a dual focus, firstly on commissioning, and secondly on diversity and inclusion.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You should have sufficient experience and knowledge to editorially oversee the independent production of radio programmes, including advising on editorial and compliance matters, and complying and signing off programmes.

To accomplish the dual aim of this role, you should also have a keen interest in diversity & inclusion issues, such as experience of contributing to D&I activity in previous roles, or lived experience.

An interest in the output of Radio 3, jazz music, and/or classical music would also be advantageous.
