Concert Hall Stage Manager
Britten Pears Arts c£26.5k Closing date 21 June 2022
Britten Pears Arts is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast. It was created in 2020 when the two long established charities which formed the legacy of Britten and Pears’ life and work, Snape Maltings (formerly Aldeburgh Music) and Britten-Pears Foundation came together.
Our increasingly diverse, year-round, programme of events is reaching an ever-wider public. We are known world-wide for the annual Aldeburgh Festival and our development work with young artists. Our Summer Programme showcases new and established artists from all genres and throughout the year we stage a range of performances, activities, residencies and opportunities for musicians of all ages to develop their talent and create work.
This role supports, and deputises for, the Head of Production. It will be responsible for the Concert Hall and other performance spaces; some of which may be off-site, preparing them for each event and also undertaking concert management – working closely with visiting orchestras, musicians and artists.

• Experience of setting up stages and platforms for a performance venue.
• Experience of working closely with musicians, orchestras and artists
• Sound health and safety knowledge relevant to backstage and on-stage environments.
• Up-to-date knowledge of stage equipment and live performance technology.
• ABTT (Bronze) or relevant professional training.
• The ability to work well within in a team and to establish good working relationships with people of all backgrounds.
What we offer you:
• A 35-hour working week
• 35 days holiday per year
• Long service holiday
• Simplyhealth cash plan
• Company Sick Pay Scheme
• Life Assurance
• Staff Discount
• Auto-enrol pension scheme
• Cycle to Work scheme
We are an equal opportunities employer and believe that diversity strengthens and enriches us. We positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates of all ages and from all backgrounds, in particular from minority ethnic backgrounds and disabled candidates who are currently under-represented at Britten Pears Arts.
