Chetham’s School of Music seeks a flexible and enthusiastic administrator on a permanent basis to help support the growing demands of the performance programme of the UK’s largest specialist music school. Helping to deliver a substantial programme of national and local student performances, projects and collaborations, you will play a vital part in developing the musical lives of the future.
The role is part time, 0.6 FTE, based upon 21 hours per week, plus increased c. full time working hours for six weeks during the year to cover the Department’s Music Course weeks (ordinarily delivered in October, February, June/July).
This role supports the delivery of the students’ regular concerts, large rehearsals and performance opportunities. The designation of working hours will vary in a week-to-week basis to meet the demands of the students’ performance schedule and will require flexibility to work standard office hours, evenings (average of c.2 evening concerts per month) plus regular Saturday morning shifts (up to c.20 Saturday mornings per year).
