Association of British Orchestras

Concerts and Prizes Administrator

Royal Academy of Music £31,560 pro rata per annum Closing date 01 September 2025
The Performance Department is at the heart of all performance activity at the Royal Academy of Music. It co-ordinates a demanding schedule of around 100 orchestral/large ensemble projects and 250 concerts both within the Academy and further afield, as well as collaborating internationally with professional partners in major orchestras, festivals and venues. The Concerts & Prizes Administrator (with job share post holder) is responsible for the planning and concert management of the Academy’s lunchtime chamber music series and student-led evening concerts as well management of the Academy’s internal competitions.

With a degree in music (or equivalent) and a thorough knowledge of a wide range of music and instruments, you will also have previous concert management experience gained in a similarly busy and challenging role. You will be able to work effectively under pressure with frequent and conflicting deadlines and demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritise and show a thorough attention to detail. Flexibility will be required for evening and very occasional weekend work as concerts and competitions often take place in the evening and occasionally at weekends.

This role is on a part time job share basis, working with the other Concerts & Prizes Administrator who works three days per week. We are looking for a candidate who will work on site two days per week. Flexibility can be offered on remote working out of term time.
