Concerts & Projects Manager (Maternity Cover)
Sage Gateshead £25,721 up to £29,438 according to experience (SCP 27-31) Closing date 13 March 2023
We are an international music centre based on the banks of the River Tyne. We are a unique venue where artists from across the world perform and audiences from a wide range of backgrounds come to hear, make, and enjoy all types of music.
We support local people to be creative, to develop a passion for music and put music at the heart of communities. Our artist development programme provides local artists with the opportunities they need to develop a career in music. We support young people to make music in our building and in the wider community through programmes such as In Harmony Newcastle Gateshead.
We believe our work makes life better for people in the North East. We’re building a creative, diverse, and passionate team and that’s where you come in…
This is one of two Concerts and Projects Manager roles, sitting within the classical team at Sage Gateshead (SG), including the work of Royal Northern Sinfonia (RNS). The Concerts and Projects Manager is key to developing and delivering the work of RNS, turning ideas into well thought-through plans, communicating appropriately across the organisation, and seeing those plans through to highest quality delivery with an eye to the future. This role may particularly suit someone who has experience of audience or artist development and/or creative learning projects within the classical music industry.
This Concerts and Projects Manager works closely with the Senior Producer, acting as a proactive centre for communication regarding a range of internal and external relationships and taking the lead in executing the vision for the classical programme. This includes creative projects – both digital and live – as well as traditional and alternative concert formats. If you’re creative and well-organised with a can-do and collaborative approach, we’d love to hear from you.
Location: Sage Gateshead and on location with RNS, with optional hybrid working according to SG policy
