Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. The RCM has a distinguished tradition of brass instrument teaching, and alumni are found throughout the profession worldwide, and as part of the distinguished history of the College. The Brass Faculty attracts students and professors from around the world, and is central to the learning, teaching, and musical life of the College. The RCM is seeking a Deputy Head of Brass to support the Head of Brass (Jason Evans) in both a visionary and administrative role. The Deputy Head of Brass will support all teaching of Brass instruments through the College, from Undergraduate through to Artist Diploma level.

Responsibilities include:
• Aiding in managing the faculty, its professors and students, in its teaching, performing, support and recruitment
• Maintaining and developing Brass performance standards and outlook in the College to the highest international standards
• Reviewing and developing courses for Brass students at the RCM to the highest international levels

This post is offered on a permanent, part-time (0.2FTE), basis and is immediately available.
