Association of British Orchestras

Development Administrator

National Children's Orchestras of Great Britain £22,000 p.a. Closing date 17 April 2023
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a purpose-driven role for a creative and evolving charity. It would suit someone interested in building a career in fundraising, or someone wanting to explore and learn more about working in arts administration while developing real transferable skills.

This is a new role within a growing team, underpinning the smooth running of our fundraising activity. You will be a first and important point of contact for many of our supporters, finding out their wonderful and varied stories and learning why people give so generously to organisations like ours. You will make supporters feel valued and help us maintain and grow our funding by keeping accurate supporter records, and monitoring data and supporter commitments. You will expand your critical thinking by supporting the Director and Development Manager on new funding bids, create interesting and impactful funder reports that show our appreciation and our value, work with the communications team on new and creative supporter engagement opportunities, and be a critical part of cross-team projects and new initiatives.

As NCO’s Development Administrator, you will have the opportunity to expand on any experience or fundraising skills you might have in charities or arts organisations, or we can support the right person to learn from scratch within a supportive environment. We will work to understand your strengths and how you work best. We will support your learning in this role and, with your commitment, help you make it a success for you and for NCO.
