Development and Membership Manager
Music at Oxford £45,000-£50,000 Closing date 19 June 2023
Music at Oxford seeks a full-time Development and Membership Manager to join its small but dynamic team.
Music at Oxford (MaO) is a concert series embracing a wide range of repertoire and genres to create an annual programme of high-quality performances. We invite internationally renowned musicians to Oxford, and no two years are ever the same. We have been curating and presenting concerts in Oxford for almost 40 years: founded in 1983, our vision of bringing exceptional live music to the city continues to this day, with venues chosen specifically to complement each performance. We aim to provide a platform for new discoveries as well as for more established artists and repertoire. In November 2022 we held our first festival for many years – a week-long celebration of Arvo Pärt. We are now preparing for our 40th anniversary season in 2023-24.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This new, full-time role has been created to help MaO at an exciting time of strategic development. The Development and Membership Manager will play a pivotal role in leading our fundraising strategy, developing and growing our supporter base, and building enduring relationships with key donors. They will be a passionate advocate for MaO and a committed member of the team, living within an easily commutable distance for both regular team meetings in Oxford and regular donor meetings in Oxfordshire and beyond as required.
Music at Oxford is a registered charity (no. 289324). We encourage equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace as they form good practice and make business sense. We warmly welcome applications from the global majority and those with protected characteristics (including but not limited to age, disability, gender identity, race, religious belief, and sexual orientation).
Should any applicant prefer to explain a protected characteristic in their application, that is welcomed.
