Development Events Assistant
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra £20,525 Per annum Closing date 16 March 2022
The world-renowned City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Development Events Officer to support the Development team with the planning, preparation and delivery of its busy schedule of events.
Reporting to the Corporate Partnership and Events Manager and working closely with the Membership and Appeals Manager, Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development, the Development Events Officer should be a self-starter with the ability to manage administrative tasks and logistics, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide outstanding stakeholder care.
The role requires a love of event management, meticulous attention to detail, a welcoming, friendly personality, a ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to prioritise workloads in a calm and systematic fashion. Previous experience of events administration and management would be an advantage, as would an interest in orchestral music or the arts.
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and hard-working department at the CBSO responsible for raising upwards of £2m per year. The events schedule underpins the team’s overall fundraising strategy and ambition, and the successful candidate will be joining the team at an exciting and important time as The Sound of the Future fundraising campaign begins to move into its renewal phase.
