The Royal College of Music (RCM) is one of the world's greatest conservatoires. Our excellence was recognised by the 2021 QS World University Rankings, in which we were ranked the top institution for performing arts in the UK for the sixth consecutive year, and top in Europe for the second year running.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced individual to the position of Development Manager (Philanthropy) (0.6FTE).

The post-holder will be responsible for their own portfolio of prospects and existing supporters of the RCM capable of giving at the five- and six-figure+ level, primarily individuals, as well as charitable trusts, and statutory and corporate sources.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the post-holder will develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies to help maximise the RCM’s income. The successful candidate will have a systematic approach to fundraising, with excellent attention to detail. They will have a successful track record of achieving five-figure+ gifts from individual supporters and a track record of identifying and maintaining external relationships with key stakeholders.

This post is offered on a permanent, part-time basis and is immediately available.
