After many years of critically acclaimed performance and recording, The Sixteen is recognised as one of the world’s finest ensembles. An outstanding reputation for performing early English polyphony, masterpieces of the Renaissance, Baroque and early Classical music, and a diversity of 20th- and 21st-century music, is drawn from the passions of conductor and founder Harry Christophers CBE. The Sixteen is at an exciting time in its 40th anniversary year. It is renowned for its ambitious programme of around 70 concerts a year, including the annual UK Choral Pilgrimage, a major tour with the Orchestra of The Sixteen, overseas touring, up to five new recordings per year and a vibrant Education Programme. It is also famed for its Young Artist Programme, Genesis Sixteen.
Development Manager
The Sixteen is seeking a Development Manager with a successful track record in writing grant applications. The post holder will report to the Development Director and in addition to managing and reporting on grant applications will be responsible for the administration of The Sixteen’s Patrons’ circles. This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who is keen to join the talented team that supports this exceptional professional choir and orchestra. The role will be three days a week in either an employed or freelance capacity, both possibilities will be considered.
