Development Manager
London Sinfonietta £35,000 Closing date 07 November 2022
The London Sinfonietta is one of the world’s leading contemporary music ensembles with an ethos to constantly experiment with the art form, working with the world’s best composers, performers and artists, collaborating with young people, communities and the public in music projects often involving film, theatre, dance and art.
The Development Manager sits at the heart of the fundraising function, providing the project management and momentum to raise income for our programmes and new music commissions. In this the role is supported by and works very closely with the Chief Executive & Artistic Director, General Manager and an external fundraising consultant. The role will be responsible for researching and developing trusts and foundations applications and with the assistance of our Development & Events Officer, oversees the management of our small but dedicated group of individual donors. The Development Manager will also work with colleagues across the organisation to create fundraising and cultivation events that will deliver new and engaging interactions for our supporters.
We are looking for an individual who has experience working in development in the cultural sector, most likely with a background in trusts and foundations fundraising, with the capacity to think creatively around creating new supporter events, and who is ready to take on a manager level position with an organisational brief. Whatever your background, you should have the capacity to communicate the art form well in written communications, have good project management and planning skills, and an affinity for the contemporary arts in any genre.
This is a hands-on, exciting role and a fantastic opportunity to develop fundraising skills across a broad portfolio in a highly creative and supportive environment.
Salary: £35,000 per annum, full time permanent role (35 hrs per week)
Closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 7 November.
First round interviews will take place online on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 November
