The Marketing & Communications department is looking for a talented, confident, proactive Digital Content Creator - Videographer, to make promotional films which showcase the many facets of our world-leading music conservatoire. We are looking for someone with demonstratable filmmaking experience, who is brimming with creative ideas and able to pursue proactive content for social media, YouTube and web. The Digital Content Creator – Videographer will make films that represent the breadth of the student experience, from Faculty overviews to trailers for our acclaimed programme of public concerts.

You will be a creative self-starter, brimming with creative storytelling ideas, able to write a brief and make a compelling piece of film. You will have working experience of industry standard AV hardware and software, rigorous post-production standards and create quality outputs that lead to an outstanding audience experience. We are looking for someone who is confident at dealing with people, can take charge of a situation and give good direction in order to get the job done.

Within the Marketing & Communications team, you will ensure there is a regular stream of content for our social media channels each week and work on short films which promote the RCM for our YouTube channel. You will also have a close working relationship with the RCM’s Digital & Production team with whom you will share ideas and expertise when needed. You will bring ideas on how to grow and improve our channels and have an eye on what is happening elsewhere in the industry. Good working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro is a must, along with experience of using professional equipment.

This post is offered on a permanent part-time (0.8 FTE) basis and is available from October 2022
