The Academy of St Martin in the Fields seeks an ambitious and proactive Director of Planning and Concerts to play a strategic and creative role in its future, overseeing the planning and delivery of a growing schedule of concerts and special projects both in the UK and abroad. This role represents a rare opportunity to shape the future of an internationally recognised orchestra at a key moment in its history. The Director of Planning and Concerts sits on ASMF’s Senior Management team of three and works closely with Music Director Joshua Bell, the Chief Executive and the Artistic Committee to guide the Academy’s creative strategy and long-term planning. The role requires key skills in artistic programming and strategy, orchestra management and touring, artist management and business development.
Reports to: Chief Executive
Responsible for: Concerts Manager; Concerts and Participation Coordinator; Orchestra Personnel Manager
Salary: From £50,000 p.a.
Location: London, with some international travel
