Event Co-ordinator, BBC Radio 3 & Proms

The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 100 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues around the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio, TV and online. We are a creative, innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe.
We’re looking for Event Co-ordinators to join the Live Events Team. It will give you the opportunity to work as part of a small team that puts on all the concerts and events for the BBC Proms season at the Royal Albert Hall in London as well as some of Radio 3’s major events around the UK. Your main role is to help plan and co-ordinate the detailed logistics of each concert through to the running of events on site for live audiences and broadcast on Radio and TV.
We are looking for a positive team player who can:
• Show an in-depth knowledge of how orchestras and choirs work.
• Show a good track record in the organisation of live classical music events
• Work and communicate collaboratively with a wide range of people.
• Be part of a team that delivers large-scale projects to live audiences in a timely and organised way
• Produce key event paperwork in an efficient and accurate way
• Adapt quickly to a variety of IT software packages.
• Show an awareness of Health and Safety issues for live events
