Finance Manager (part-time)
Aurora Orchestra £30k–£40 FTE (pro rated) Closing date 25 July 2022
Aurora Orchestra is recruiting for a specialist part-time Finance Manager to oversee the orchestra’s organisational finances.
Described by The Times as “the most bracing breath of fresh air to invigorate the British classical music scene in the past ten years,” Aurora Orchestra creates vibrant musical adventures that share a passion for orchestral music with the broadest possible audience. Since its launch in 2005, Aurora has established itself as one of the most innovative and dynamic forces in orchestral music. Its programme combines world-class performance with creative programming and trailblazing presentation, producing vibrant musical adventures that challenge expectations of what an orchestra can do both on the concert platform and online.
The orchestra has rebuilt rapidly following the disruption caused by the pandemic, and is currently preparing for its busiest-ever season in 2022/23. Newly resident at Southbank Centre, one of the world’s great concert venues, we are developing a host of signature ‘Orchestral Theatre’ projects which promise to redefine the possibilities of orchestral performance and reach new audiences for classical music. We have recently launched a major new digital learning initiative aimed at transforming classroom music teaching across the country, and are planning debut appearances at several leading international halls across the globe.
At this exciting moment for the organisation, Aurora is recruiting for an experienced part-time Finance Manager with specialist knowledge of the creative industries. The appointee will work with the orchestra’s Chief Executive to oversee organisational finances, liaising closely with the board’s Finance and Operations Committee.
Applications close at 5pm on Monday 25 July.
