General Manager
Royal Philharmonic Society £35,000 - £40,000 Closing date 28 February 2022
At the RPS, we have set out to consolidate and positively build upon all the good things the Society has done for classical music in years past. We’ve made good progress even in the face of the pandemic, and are now looking to appoint a new General Manager to play a key part in our next steps.
The General Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees in the ongoing definition and delivery of our strategic plans. More than ever, we see this role being principal contact for a wide range of professional contacts and taking a lead in strategic partnerships nationally – working to ensure the classical music profession feels connected with the RPS, and drawing upon them to fortify all we can do for the good of music. The General Manager will manage and develop our courses, grants and other opportunities for musicians, nurturing a range of partnerships integral to these. They will play a lead role in producing our flagship event, the RPS Awards, and our new series of talks and events, fostering greater curiosity and connectivity in classical music. They will take pride in the priorities of the RPS – particularly in newly-relaunched RPS Membership and all it stands to do – and have real passion for uniting others behind our cause. Read the full role brief on our website for a comprehensive overview of the position, its terms, and how it sits at the heart of our mission. If you’d like to chat about the role, we’d be very happy to hear from you.
