Grants & Proposals Co-ordinator

London Symphony Orchestra £22,000 to £23,500 per annum, according to experience. Closing date 21 March 2022
The London Symphony Orchestra’s Development Department raise over £3 million per year in support of the organisation’s activities both in the UK and internationally. With ambitious plans to grow income over the coming three years, the LSO is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Grants & Proposals Co-ordinator to play a key role in the LSO’s fundraising from trusts, foundations and corporate supporters. Working closely with the LSO’s Trusts and Foundations Manager and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Grants & Proposals Co-ordinator will support the development of high-quality and compelling funding proposals, helping to secure grants and sponsorship from both current and new supporters. The Grants & Proposals Co-ordinator will work across a range of LSO activities, securing funding towards LSO Discovery programmes, international tours and partnerships, new music and commissions, digital projects and special events.

Critical to success in the role will be impeccable writing and communication skills and a passion for engaging written copy, with the ability to convey detailed information in a concise and compelling way. The Grants & Proposals Co-ordinator will also possess strong research skills and enthusiasm to play a central role in the cultivation and stewardship of a broad range of supporters.

Joining the LSO at a pivotal time as the organisation continues its recovery from the impacts of the pandemic, the Grants & Proposals Co-ordinator will support growth in income from these two key fundraising sectors. As part of a newly restructured Development team, the Grants & Proposals Co-ordinator will also support the wider fundraising of the Department, helping to steward current and potential supporters at concerts, special events, and LSO Discovery projects taking place across east London.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.
