Head of Development (maternity cover)

The Head of Development is a senior position within the External Relations and Strategic
Development team.
The opportunity to join the team has arisen due to maternity leave. A range of working
patterns and contract types will be considered, and there may be the possibility of
continuing in another role beyond the fixed period.
The post-holder will manage a small team that includes a Senior Development Manager,
Development Manager (in recruitment), Individual Giving Officer and Development
Coordinator. They will also work closely with other colleagues in the External Relations and
Strategic Development team, as well as those in Programme and Conference & Events
teams. The Head of Development is responsible for ensuring the team meets the organisation’s
fundraising targets (c. £1.5 million per annum), across all philanthropic income streams,
including trusts and foundations, individual donors and corporates. The candidate will also
oversee our 2020-23 Crisis, Recovery and Renaissance campaign and our stewardship and
cultivation events.
We are looking for an experienced and creative fundraiser with and an entrepreneurial,
motivating and collaborative way of working. We are open to candidates with a range of
different professional experiences and backgrounds.
