Association of British Orchestras

Head of Individual Giving

Philharmonia Orchestra Competitive + benefits Closing date 21 October 2019
We are delighted to be recruiting for a new Head of Individual Giving to develop and manage the Individual Giving and Philanthropy strategy at the Philharmonia Orchestra. In particular, the post-holder will work closely with the Development Director to lead on the major gifts programme (£25,000+), implement a higher level within the current Conductor’s Circle Patron’s scheme (£10,000+), as well as maximising income and widening the donor pool for the Conductors’ Circle and the Chair Endowment giving programmes.

The postholder will also be responsible for developing and implementing a robust strategy for the Klemperer Society (the Orchestra’s legacy giving programme). The Head of Individual Giving will manage the Friends and Online Giving Manager, overseeing the strategy to increase income and membership of the Friends scheme, including its annual events programme.

Coming from a background of high-level fundraising, you will also bring experience of implementing a prospecting and stewardship strategy within an annual events programme, as well as a passion for the arts and music. This role will work across the organisation, so you will need to be a natural relationship builder, with the ability to communicate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
