International Student Officer

The RCM is seeking an International Student Officer to provide immigration advice and support to our community of international students through all stages of the visa application process, along with more general support with the admissions and enrolment process and pastoral support for students moving to a new country to study. The post-holder is also responsible for issuing Confirmations of Acceptance for Study (CAS), administering the RCM’s attendance monitoring system and, in conjunction with the Deputy Academic Registrar, ensuring that the RCM’s immigration records are maintained in accordance with Home Office requirements.
Based in the RCM’s small, friendly Registry department, the role also provides an opportunity to gain experience of other aspects of student administration, ideal for someone wishing to develop their career in the HE sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an inspirational environment, supporting talented young musicians from around the world.
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
• Knowledge and professional experience of the regulations relating to UK student immigration
• Experience of providing advice to students in an educational setting
• Practical knowledge of music, preferably of a classical nature
• Excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage a varied workload efficiently and deal with operational issues independently.
• Experience in providing a high standard of customer service, with excellent written and oral communication skills
This role is offered on a full time (1FTE) basis. The role is available immediately.
