Kickstart - Projects Assistant

National Youth Orchestras of Scotland (NYOS) £9.50 per hour Closing date 07 February 2022
An exciting opportunity has arisen to gain experience and training in the day-to-day management of NYOS. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and delivery of our 2022 programme, working on a variety of projects across several departments and supporting activities in our marketing, development and ensembles teams. This fantastic opportunity would suit anyone seeking an entry level position in the arts. We are keen to support the post holder’s professional development and alongside mentorship from key members of the team, we will offer paid training opportunities tailored to the successful candidate’s interests and skills.

We are looking for someone with a keen interest in music and the arts who is confident managing a varied workload. Some knowledge of preparing musical scores (marking bowings, making up parts) would be beneficial.

Terms:
This is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity (25 hours per week, 6 months) with home working possible alongside attendance at events and office-based work at NYOS headquarters in central Glasgow. NYOS is an equal opportunities employer.

SKILLS NEEDED
An interest in music and the arts
Prepared to work occasional evenings or weekends
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
An interest in social media
Basic musical score preparation skills
