The world-renowned City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Learning & Engagement Officer to work across the Learning & Engagement department and support the delivery of a wide range of events for communities in the West Midlands. Each year, the CBSO’s Learning & Engagement department provides over 70,000 engagement opportunities through our diverse programme of activities which takes place throughout Birmingham and across the West Midlands.
The Learning & Engagement Officer reports to the Head of Learning & Engagement but will work closely with many other members of the team, including the Chorus Manager and Director of Learning & Engagement. The role supports work across our department, including concerts for children, young people, and older adults; our work with young instrumentalists; and work in communities. In addition, the Learning & Engagement Officer will work closely with the CBSO’s Planning, Orchestral Management, and Marketing departments, as well as members of the CBSO and a cohort of freelance music staff.
