The RCM’s Estates & Facilities team is now seeking to appoint a Maintenance Operative (Mechanical) to be responsible for ensuring the estate is well maintained and building services are statutory compliant, ensuring a high standard of service delivery from the in-house and out-sourced maintenance teams. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the postholder will be expected to carry out tasks such as; routine checks of supplies and services, periodic checks to mechanical and general plant systems, electrical updating works and general rewiring and a variety of other maintenance tasks across the RCM.
The successful candidate will be:
• Professionally qualified in a Mechanical discipline, with experience of working in a Building Maintenance environment and of using BMS
• Knowledgeable in all statutory legislation in relation to estates maintenance including Building Regulations, L8, DDA, COSHH, Asbestos, CDM regulations, ACOP’s etc.
• Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining a strong customer service approach
