Working as part of the Marketing Team, the Marketing and Communications Assistant will contribute towards maximising awareness of, and attendance at, all SCO concerts, events and workshops. This key role will have responsibility for overseeing some of the administrative areas of the Marketing and Communications Department, being the first port of call for customer enquiries by phone and email. This position will assist with website and social media updates and will work alongside colleagues to process ticket orders and update the SCO’s database.
This is a varied job within a busy department and offers an ideal position for someone wishing to take their first steps into the world of arts marketing. The appointee will be fully involved in planning all aspects of the Department’s activity. The post holder will also be expected to undertake front of house duty at concerts, assigned on a rota basis. Given the geographical reach of the Orchestra it is essential that the appointee have a full driving license and is prepared to drive SCO company vehicles.
