The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras invites applications for the position of Marketing and Communications Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of youth orchestras throughout Ireland and to practice and develop a full range of marketing and communications skills.

The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a key role in promoting the activities and events of IAYO, providing news and information to IAYO members and building a sense of community and collaboration.

The role comes with the opportunity to develop and practice skills in typography, layout, graphic design, audio, video and film-editing skills and using the full range of online communications tools. There may also be opportunities to develop other skills within the work remit of IAYO including project management and grant application writing.

The Marketing and Communications Officer will form part of a team including the CEO, Programmes Manager, Administrator and the Marketing and Communications Assistant, working with more than one-hundred professional and voluntary artistic and organisational staff annually.

The ideal candidate will have experience of marketing and / or communications and an interest in further developing their skills in the area. Specific knowledge of orchestras and classical music-making are not required but an interest in the area would be most welcome.

The Application Deadline is Thursday, 01 September 2022 at 22:00 Irish Standard Time (UTC+1). Applications received after this time will not be considered.
