The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Music Stage, Logistics & Instrument Manager. The Music Administration Department is responsible for the provision of the organisational management and administration of the Music Department. It is a busy department that prides itself on its efficiency and service delivery.
You will provide complete and comprehensive management and support to the set up and instrumental requirements for teaching, rehearsal and performance in accordance with all the academic and artistic requirements of a world-class music conservatoire. You will also organise and manage a dedicated stage management team to ensure continuity of service in the provision of rehearsal, teaching, audition, examination and performance support including out of hours, weekend activities and income-generating external hires.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in a performing arts environment, knowledge of the practical teaching requirements within a world-class music conservatoire as well as experience of converting orchestral instrumentations into appropriate stage plans and adapting those plans to fit within a multi-piece programme.
We need a highly organised, motivated, articulate individual with an innovative approach to problem solving and experience in a performing arts/ educational establishment. To be successful, you will need the experience and knowledge of stage managing orchestral rehearsals and concerts at a world class level.
