Association of British Orchestras

National Lottery Heritage Fund Project Manager (Part-time, Fixed Term)

Halle Concerts Society £35,000 (pro rata) Closing date 10 June 2022
The Hallé’s archive documents the 164-year history of the orchestra, its place in Manchester’s heritage and that of 19th & 20th century music. The collection includes letters, music, programmes, sound recordings, photographs and other printed material. As a project over the next two years, our main objective is to explore how the collections can be used to enable a wider range of people to learn about our heritage. Hallé St Peter’s offers us additional scope to welcome visitors and test out a range of activities. We’ll be planning a range of talks, exhibitions and other events alongside a programme of volunteer opportunities.

The Project Manager is responsible for overall management of the project and its outcomes including the budgeting and reporting. They need to be highly organised, with good people skills. Experience of managing and working with volunteers will be an advantage.

This is a 2-year fixed term post, working one day per week. For further details including a recruitment pack and application form, please visit our website.
