Association of British Orchestras

NYO Inspire Co-ordinator

National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain c. £26,000 dependent on experience Closing date 06 January 2023
Full-time, permanent contract.
Salary: c. £26,000 dependent on experience

Are you passionate about working with young people? We have an opportunity for a highly-organised individual to join our growing team as NYO Inspire Co-ordinator.

NYO wants to see the potential of every teenage musician in the UK unlocked through the power of orchestral music. We work alongside teenage musicians to open up orchestral music and share it with their generation.

The NYO Inspire Co-ordinator supports and assists the administration of NYO Inspire, our inclusion and access programme which provides free opportunities to Grade 6-8 teenage musicians to develop their orchestral playing. Over the next decade we are building a significantly bigger national community with multiple access points, where teenagers from all backgrounds can pursue music together in the face of extreme pressures and limited opportunities for collaboration, self-realisation, and skills development.

The role would suit an individual with excellent administration skills, strong interpersonal skills and a flexible, can-do attitude. Some experience in supporting projects and events within the arts, education or youth sector is desirable.

You would be joining a friendly and dynamic staff team who are passionate about music and young people. The role is based at NYO’s spacious and light offices near Holborn in central London (with some remote working by agreement) and there will be opportunities to attend NYO’s UK-wide concerts and activities. NYO offers a season ticket loan scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, health cash plan and 24/7 counselling and support helpline.
