Askonas Holt and il Pomo d’Oro are recruiting for a talented and passionate Orchestra Co-ordinator. This new position will strengthen the management and touring synergies between il Pomo d’Oro and Askonas Holt.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Tours and Projects team at Askonas Holt and the Artistic Director of il Pomo d’Oro, managing the general administration of il Pomo d’Oro.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• act as liaison between musicians of il Pomo d’Oro and AH Touring Department to co-ordinate and book hotels, travel, visas, scores and any other requirements
• co-ordinate rehearsal, recording and performance schedules
• provide administrative support to the Artistic Director of il Pomo d’Oro
• in collaboration with the Artistic Director of il Pomo d’Oro, book musicians and issue musicians contracts for all touring and non-touring projects
• support with financial, insurance and tax management as needed,
• assist with promotion and marketing support for projects
• assist with website administration duties
• accompany il Pomo d’Oro on selected tours as orchestra manager
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
• have relevant experience working in arts administration, or in a related discipline
• demonstrate a good sense of initiative, an ability to prioritise and to meet deadlines and to cope successfully with pressure situations
• be well-organised and motivated, with excellent communication skills, in writing and verbally
• be willing to undertake significant international travel as an integral part of their duties
• have a keen interest in classical music
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
• foreign language skills are an advantage
The salary for this position is £30,000 per annum.
